TCFSC Club Members Shine at 2007 Regional:
 
Our Tri-Cities FSC competitors made another statement this year at the 2007 Northwest Pacific Regional Championships in Spokane, Washington, October 4-7, 2006. The Pacific Northwest Region is comprised of the following States: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. The following skaters turned in excellent performances to earn medals in their qualifying events. All of these skaters are coached by Russian husband wife team; Sasha (Alexander) Lunin and Alena Lunina, within their Pacific Northwest Elite Skating School. Assistant coaches for the school are Deann Olson, and Ann Doherty.

  • Kendra Calaway – 5th place, Junior Ladies - Alternate for Pacific Coast Sectional

  • Britt Olsen – Silver medal, Novice Ladies - Advanced to Pacific Coast Sectional

  • Anna Seiler – Bronze medal, Juvenile Girls - Advanced to US Junior Championships

  • Soleil Roth – Pewter medal, Juvenile Girls - Advanced to US Junior Championships

  • Edward Tea – Gold medal, Juvenile Boys - Advanced to US Junior Championships

  • Phillip Chen – Silver medal, Juvenile Boys - Advanced to US Junior Championships

  • Chris Freeman – Bronze medal, Juvenile Boys - Advanced to US Junior Championships

It was another awesome showing by our qualifying level skaters. The rest of our team also skated very strong, had fun, made new friends, and gained valuable experience for next year. Hats off to you all. We also congratulate the coaches and parents for their success in preparing and supporting these athletes!

Novice Skater Qualifies to Compete at Pacific Coast Sectional:
 
Britt Olsen has qualified to compete at the 2007 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships being held in Seattle, Washington, November 16th–18th 2006.  She earned her opportunity for advancement after qualifying at the Pacific Northwest Regional Championships in Spokane, Washington. Competing as a Novice level competitor, she finished with the Silver Medal. The Pacific Coast Section is one of three qualifying sections of the United States. Congratulations!  Britt.

TCFSC Competitors fill 5 of the 8 Juvenile Level Spots for Advancement to the
US Junior Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. Great Job!

Edward Tea returns to the US Junior Championships with a great chance to podium this year in the Juvenile Boys event. Eddie ranked 7th in the nation in the Boys Juvenile event last year at the 2006 US Junior Championships.  Chris Freeman will make his first appearance, he qualified by receiving the Bronze medal in Spokane in the Boys Juvenile event. Good Luck Chris!  Youngster Phillip Chen also sealed the deal for advancement in the Boys Juvenile event; he finished with a Silver medal in Spokane. Great Job! Phillip.

In the  Girls Juvenile event, Anna Seiler will make her first appearance at the 2007 US Junior  Championships with a double axel in her element lineup. Anna received the Bronze medal in Spokane, landing her double axel.  Soleil Roth will also make her first appearance in the Juvenile Girls event, she received the Pewter medal in Spokane. Great Skating Girls!
